I live in New Jersey. The governor has said he'll sign the bill into law this week, if I'm not mistaken. It won't make much of a difference. There are only 8 people on death row, and no one has been executed in New Jersey (by the state, anyway) for decades. Now if Texas would approve a law ending the death penalty, THAT would be news!

Adam is probably correct, but this is a positive step!!!

Even if it doesn't affect that many people, I still think it is important because of the statement that it makes.

Good. I lived in NJ for two years in the 1990's, so I'm glad they've done this.

I lived in NJ nearly my whole life. Though I am not there anymore, its nice to see the garden state take a step in the right direction for once.

This is a very good thing.

Lots of us are working on it adam... It's hard in Texas. The NJ ruling is an important statement. Maybe more important her ein Texas than in NJ.
