The real problem is not just that certain kinds of evangelicals view the world's ecological and international problems as positive signs of the impending end of the world and glorious return of Jesus. It is the implications of this belief that really matter. This kind of religious outlook leads many people to take dangerously obstructionist actions that seek to prevent the nation and the world from making serious efforts at solving these problems.

Thanks for this link. Jeesh! What is odd, though, is that the guy didn't object to what Gore said about the planet warming. He thinks it is warming, too. For him, it's a good thing in order to hasten the return of Jesus. His issue with Gore and the liberal Hollywood Left is that they think we ought to do something about it!
I am so irked by these people who think that they can control the coming of the Lord. Jesus will come when He darn well pleases, thank you very much. Great piece of writing, Mystical Searcher.
